Inter Species Dating - Confessions of a Sheep

Fofurrees are all so friendly and good looking, it is no wonder that sometimes budding romances develop, often between furrees of different species. Being generally more tolerant than our human counterparts, this is usually not a problem.

From my own experience of having an interspecies relationship, I have assembled some tips to keep in mind when beginning a relationship with a furree of another variety:

• Always be tactful when making meal suggestions. It may not be appropriate to take your Sheepy friend out for lamb kabobs or your Bovine honey out for a burger.

• When one of you walks on two feet and the other walks on all fours, have patience. Gracefully sitting in chairs and holding paws while walking can be difficult and sometimes takes practice. As a sheep, I, for one, have had to practice walking on my back hooves. When I do this, my eyes appear to be facing heavenward in a look of exasperation, but it is really just the result of my quadrupedia. It can also be difficult to walk paw-in paw with a quadruped. You might try walking with your paw around your friend's back, or perhaps affectionately hold his ear.

• Sometimes our furree friends have different aversions that we need to be sensitive to. For example, my sweet Walter is an Easter bunny (seen to the right). He tends to be a little sensitive to the mention of the “other holiday”. When we went to Rothenburg, I made sure we marched right by the Christmas store without even looking in its direction.

• Look for common interests. Even though Walter is a German Bunny and I am an American sheep, we share a love of travel, cakes, and chocolate. How can you NOT find love over a chocolate gateau!
